Diwali - Cultural Night
An excursion through India's culture, art and cuisine

When: Saturday, November 20th, 5:30 PM
Where: Meridian Middle School
1507 West 8th Street, Meridian, ID 83642

Festivities:

• Sanhiti Dance Troupe of California Presents:
  "Classical & Folk dances of India" - portrays three different dances of India.
• Diwali mythology dance drama, music & more from our own Boise Indian Community.
• 7:30pm: (optional) Dinner catered by 'Taj Mahal' restaurant
• 8:30pm: "Dance Dhamaka" - open dance floor with DJ

Diwali Mela - The fun fair
*** New attraction! FUN filled FREE events open to people of all ages ***

Relive the Indian festive atmosphere!

When: Sunday, November 14th (children's day), 3:00pm
Where:Harris Ranch Club House, 4057 S. MillSite Avenue, Boise

Fun-filled activities for Mela:

• Fun for kids: Face painting/ tatoo, lemon & spoon race, sack race, maze puzzles, musical chairs, bulls eye bucket, cool rhymes.
• Fun for adults: Recipe competition: Best dessert (home made from scratch)
  Judges will be picked at random from audience. (Excellent opportunity for bachelors to taste Indian sweets)
• Potpourri : Antakshari, dumb charades, quiz (Teams of 4 each compete in Potpourri)
  Compete in variety of games like Antakshari, dumb charades, quiz…
  Relive the Indian college festivals.
• Side games for ALL: Break the pyramids, coin in a bottle, darts & more.
